VISITING MELBOURNE

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
There are few Covid requirements for most travellers entering Australia. Please check the government website for changes a week before you are due to leave.
Check here whether you need a visa to enter Australia. Apply as early as possible as processing times are longer than normal. Email us if you need a letter for your application.
GETTING FROM THE AIRPORT
Melbourne Airport is 23km from the city centre. The Skybus provides direct transfers to the city from $16 per person. Uber is a convenient option and will cost $45-58.

CULTURAL AND SPORTING EVENTS
Melbourne is known for its cultural and sporting events. As part of your visit, why not catch a show at a theatre or attend an AFL footy game.
Shows and exhibitions in Melbourne in March include Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Mary Poppins, &Juliet, Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse, Lume and Rone.
Ed Sheran, Backstreet Boys, Florence + The Machine and Snoop Dogg are also in town if music is your thing.
Classical musical, theatre and dance performances are often held at the Arts Centre.
DAY TRIPS FROM MELBOURNE
There are many amazing day trips from Melbourne, including to The Great Ocean Road, Yarra Valley or little penguins on Phillip Island. Either rent a car (we drive on the left) or take a group tour.

VISITING THE REST OF AUSTRALIA
Australia is a huge country! It takes 9 hours to drive from Melbourne to Sydney, or 1.5 hours by plane, so plan carefully. The main airlines flying domestically in Australia are Jetstar, Virgin Australia and Qantas.
